Plant Info
Jalapeño Peppers produce glossy green peppers that mature to bright red if left on the plant. Jalapeños are prized for their crisp texture and heat, making them popular for fresh eating, pickling, grilling, and cooking. The small white flowers attract bees and other pollinators, helping to improve fruit production throughout the growing season. Jalapeño peppers thrive in full sun, warm temperatures, and fertile, well drained soil, producing abundant harvests from midsummer until frost. While the peppers are edible, they contain capsaicin, which can irritate the mouth, skin, mucous membranes, and eyes, and may cause stomach upset if consumed in large amounts. Jalapeño peppers are not considered toxic to people, cats, or dogs, but pets may experience digestive upset if they eat them.
Grown in a 3.5" square pot.
