Plant Info

Pompon or Lilliput Zinnia are compact Zinnias that produce masses of small, double, globe shaped flowers in a vibrant mix of red, pink, orange, yellow, purple, and white from early summer until the first frost. These plants bloom continuously with regular deadheading, providing long lasting colour in borders, containers, and cutting gardens. The flowers attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds, while their sturdy stems make them excellent for fresh bouquets. This heat loving variety thrives in full sun and well drained soil, tolerating hot, dry conditions once established while continuing to flower throughout the season. Its tidy growth habit and abundance of colourful blooms make it an excellent choice for adding bright colour to any sunny garden. Before picking or cutting flowers, wiggle the flower stalk. If it is floppy and wiggles, it is not ready to be cut. If it is rigid and moves with the plant, it can be cut.
