Tall Climbing Nasturtium is a fast growing annual vine that produces masses of bright red, orange, yellow, and cream flowers from early summer until the first frost. Native to South America, it climbs readily over trellises, fences, and other supports, adding vibrant colour and lush foliage to the garden. The flowers are highly attractive to bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds, while both the leaves and flowers are edible and have a mild peppery flavour that is popular in salads and garnishes. This easy growing plant thrives in full sun and often flowers best in average to poorer soils rather than rich ones. Its vigorous growth makes it an excellent choice for covering structures, softening garden edges, or trailing from raised beds and containers.
