Strawflower is a colourful annual that produces crisp, papery flowers in shades of yellow, orange, pink, red, white, and bronze from early summer until the first frost. The unique blooms retain their colour and shape even after drying, making them one of the best flowers for dried arrangements and crafts. The nectar rich flowers attract bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, while regular deadheading encourages continuous blooming throughout the season. Strawflowers thrive in full sun and well drained soil and are both heat and drought tolerant once established, making them an easy care choice for sunny gardens. Their long-lasting blooms also make excellent cut flowers for fresh bouquets.
